The history of trails runs deep across the Kansas plains.  From the historic Oregon, Santa Fe, and Chisholm Trails to the steady growth in recreational trails throughout our state today, there are more opportunities than ever to explore Kansas on foot, bike, or horseback.  Trails that connect the past to the present are found throughout the state and we highlight some of the most scenic and interesting trails with a strong connection to Kansas history.

Jonathan Conard and Kristin Conard are a brother-sister duo that authored the Kansas Trail Guide.  Jonathan is a professor at Sterling College and teaches environmental biology and Kristin is a travel writer and banking professional currently residing in California.

Signed copies of the Kansas Trail Guide are available for purchase directly from the authors website and will be shipped for free for all orders placed through the event.  Kansas Trail Guide site:  https://kansastrailguide.com/
